Sony VRDVC20 DVDirect DVD Recorder

I bought this item with great trepidation after reading the majority of reviews here. But I needed a relatively simple solution that would enable me to transfer old camcorder footage to DVD. I don't know whether Sony has upgraded the machine, or I'm simply lucky, but it works perfectly. I've transferred more than 10 hours of footage to DVD since taking it out of the box a couple of days ago and it's working without a hitch.
