Sony RDR-GX355 Tunerless DVD Recorder

OK, here's my bottom line. You need a set-top box for this recorder. The video quality is very good, clearly better than my Liteon (dull color) and slightly inferior to my Panasonic (great color). I luv the multiple recording time options-minimizes compression. IMO, this is all you need to make a great disc. I don't think you can beat the price!!! Search the GREX video stabilizer online for an INDISPENSABLE discussion on copyright. I've had this for over 1 mo. now and am very satisfied since I knew what I was getting.
